Swindon Tickets

On the contrary, what I want to believe is there will be loads of City in with us lot - I couldn't think of anything more enjoyable. What I do believe is, as previously stated, you've sold your sizeable allocation and you're not a big enough club that means you have huge numbers of fans that were unable to get an away ticket that will therefore purchase tickets in the home section.

In addition you're not brave enough.

What do you class as "huge" numbers?

Why would you "enjoy" opposition fans in your own end?

I'll tell you another story how rubbish going to Swindon is.

I think it was the night game about 10 years ago, fair play to your lot on the pitch as you were winning easily, i left before the end and and City were making there way back to the stattion in small groups. A load of City had just been escorted back and so police presence was minimal, there was about 50 of us on the platform and a large group of Swindon who had followed us decided to charge into the stattion and up the stairs. I'll never forget listening to the brave roar die down as Swindon realised that nobody was bothered. The look on a ginger kiddies face as one of the older City lot, took a drag on his fag and simply asked 'Can i help you?' The game was up and Swindon ran back down the stairs.

I don't know what brave is exactley, but i know it's not going to Swindon

We could and would have easily sold double our allocation for this game.

You are a mug.

I went in the home end at Swindon once. From memory, I think Wayne Allison scored (playing for us, by the way-this was before he lowered his standards). Anyway, I jumped up and cheered (clearly forgetting where I was), and some of the locals looked at me slightly disgruntled.

That was it.

Not the most engaging story, I'll grant you, but unless things have changed dramatically I don't really think anyone has too much to fear. So much so, I intend to be there again this Saturday (seats sold out very quickly, and I'm not paying to stand on an open terrace-in fact I'm surprised a club at this level with aspirations of promotion have such poor facilities).

So, look out for plenty of disgruntled locals on Saturday ;)

I remember a group of about 6 of us buying tickets to collect on the day, I think we lost 3-1 or 3-2, anyway we were quiet but must have been clocked somehow. After Swindon scored a couple of numpties got up in our faces and it all got a bit heated, I was only about 18 and wondered what would happen, low and behold a chorus of 'come on city' broke out at the top if the stand and load of older city let themselves be heard and it put the brakes on. We were all then moved to the open end.

Was there. I think we were 3-0 down in the first 15 minutes, got back to 3-2 with 10 minutes to go. We had kept our heads down until the second goal, then couldn't resist. Loads of City in there that day.

Thats the game!

I remember another time we had managed to get into Swindon and enjoy the morning, then got 3 taxis to the county ground 2.45ish. As we got near, the train lot were being escorted in behind a corden, with brave swindon the other side. We got out and burst into song only to find Swindon disappearing before our very eyes! We joined the escort and proceeded to smuggle a bottle of vodka onto the Stratton Bank, great day out!

brave enough hmmm inciting football violence on a public forum that's not brave but stupid. I for one spoke to atleast 10 people last night who have tickets in the home end with there mates so I would definitely expect it. Hopefully I may see u personally Saturday! Then again it depends on how "brave" u are haha

well a bit of good news for you lot who will be on the Stratton Bank on Saturday its going to lash it down around 3pm so lets hope you get soaking off the pitch and stuffed on it.

Isn't it about time you badgered your landlords to have a bit of 'ground improvement' done? We're not used to such shabby surroundings you know!

Good point, we'll made. It's a big game for us what with you being top, us third and fairly local - That naturally generates more interest amongst Town fans as it would do all clubs. As I said previously I guarantee there will not be the masses of city fans in the home stands as some of you embarrassingly keep claiming. I've heard this before from many clubs much bigger than yours and it never transpires. Saying that, if there are any, we'll never know because they'll keep very quiet - your lot have never been the bravest bunch.

Standard rubbish spouted by someone when his fellow fans will be waiting at the station at 2.10... very brave that.

I can't wait to re-visit this forum on Sunday afternoon and ask you where you all were. Let's see how many audible cheers there are from the home stands if city score..........I predict none. Concentrate on talking about matters on the pitch, chaps. You're out of your depth otherwise

I have a ticket for the home end. So there's one to start.

Well, was not going to shout about it, but called in a favour and got one to.

I will be honest - I will play entirely by the unwritten rules, and doubt any Swindon fan would even know. Have no real problem with it the other way round either as long as they go in the right part of the ground and are not an arse about it. I very much hope I an leaving agreeing with everyone about how bad 'we' were, whilst internally shouting yes!

Feels much more like a cup game than the last two, and really looking forward to it.
