GO'N signed fairly early on, so if this was agreed pre-Euros as has been suggested in the article, it could well be one he was alluding to. As little as we know about Magnusson, he's an international at Juventus. That's rather decent. I'm also going to presume GO'N was told about our pursuit of Tomlin. That could well be all of them (told to GO'N) but I wonder whether any more of these rumours were further advanced at the time we signed G'ON for us to be able to demonstrate our ambition. It would look pretty poor to be indicating our ambition for internationals and then signing lower league unknowns. Look forward to seeing this Magnusson rumour develop. I wouldn't worry about that, England's reserve centre back at the Euro's is valued at £50m! The fee for this kid is likely to be €3m rather than £3m.
