Hell, I’d even go as far as including Rovers season ticket holders in that priority group, at least they are football fans, not just part timers who want a nice day out and are unlikely to return to our club and use the facilities. I’m all for football being inclusive and everyone getting in to the spirit, but some of these folk just want a drink or are just going because their friends are. I was lucky enough to get down there at lunchtime and overheard the bloke in front of me chatting to his mate who was discussing plans for if we make the final on SATURDAY! Going by what others have said, and if a similar thing happens on Wednesday night, there could be over 1,000 punters missing.......although interest will be greater. I guess they have handed out the extra 500 tickets compared to the other day knowing that not everyone will turn up so they will get somewhere closer to the 5000 that they actually want. In our case all the tickets are going to city fans that have watched all or almost every England match at the gate but can definitely understand some people questioning the allocation of 4 per person - I think the idea of selling them for £5 but on the basis of a free drink on arrival that @Up The City! suggested would be the best shout for making sure they went to the right people, or maybe having a few hours priority for ST holders and members? There was netting or barriers in place for Saturdays match and that seemed to have worked/ people respected the statue as I didn’t read any reports. Thought the atmos down the Gate was great last night, yet was sad to see people chucking around what looked like bits of astro turf. Can anyone confirm what this was?
