given they are all related one way or another, its hardly surprising they resemble each other

Yes it is.

He seems a pretty decent lad in fairness but he must wish he never posted that video considering the number of times it’s been reposted by City fans whenever the Gas provide us with another gift 🤣

It doesn't matter whether you're red or blue (or green with envy on their part) its absolutely disgusting putting out statements like these. We live in an inclusive world, that is unless you live in a 1970's time warp in BS7 North Korea. What a joke of a club, shameful.

Yep, and matchday videos, very amusing to watch with him cussing Rovers all the time.

Wonder what happened - poor bloke looks a shadow of his former self.

Has it been mentioned on their OS that he has "left", yet ?

Not been mentioned that I can see, and he still seems to be listed as the assistant so I think it might now be filed under wishful thinking unfortunately.

I was told it’s true.  They’re bombscare behind the scenes, so a website not being up to date could not be a surprise.

Yes, comes across as a nice bloke - wish him all the best (apart from gas results)....thanks to him for the 'classic' footage!

On the roof? There were questions on here as to why there was a seating gap at one end. The theory by some was that it was reserved space for a big screen, then someone said they needed a crane to lift it in but couldn't because the new roof was in the way. Is this the result?

The space was indeed originally for a screen, no idea about the roof theory, but this is bigger than what would have fitted originally

Nothing they do anymore surprises me

Back to the latest Gash PR disaster - my cousin captains the England visually impaired cricket team and also plays for Somerset. She was highly amused / bemused by their clanger and is glad not to be “normal” (how boring must that be, she said…)

I know we’ve got our ‘Champagne Moment’ of the season but I was wondering what their MD20/20 moment of the season was?

1) Forgetting to fax the paperwork off when trying to sign JCH

2) 75 fans to Fleetwood

3) losing 5-0 to Lincoln

4) Their ‘Daddy’ getting sacked and replaced by Arnold Rimmer

5) Their club suggesting disabled fans are abnormal

6) Breaking their own record for consecutive games without a goal after selling their best player for £4 million less than they said he was worth.

7) Having their attendances beaten by our Women’s team

I may have missed out many others.

Personally I think the whole JCH **** up takes some beating.

An excellent summary. I suppose you could add leaving space for a big screen in the new stand but then putting it on the roof so spectators can't see it.

The burnt food is memorable. Not to be re posted now as it is lunch time.

Theres no doubt in my mind that the new owners had no intention of signing JCH, and the paperwork thing is just a terrible cover up.

Without a doubt it was. Posh and the player must have known this too hence neither kicking up too much of a fuss.

All pre-arranged IMO.

I don’t doubt it mate.
I can’t remember whether the fax machine story was officially used by the club or something was leaked but it’s still hilarious that is the line they went with 🤣

The best bit was seeing them give it the “unlucky da shit”, “announce promotion” and “we’re comin 4 u shit eds” before the eventual meltdown.

The Dan Hargreaves spoof account saying the deal was off which was dismissed by the man himself as bullshit about 10 minutes before having to admit that the spoof account actually got it right. 🤣

The following day we beat Swansea.

Decent weekend.

My personal favourite sag up is putting the roof on that temporary tin can shed without thinking about the positioning of the floodlights! Or the horse box serving alcohol as if there wasn't enough manure on the pitch already.

Another one I’d forgot. They even put on X or Facebook some post with their badge and Liverpools badge with details tba.

FFS these are all in one season 🤣

Most other clubs spread these cock ups over a decade.

Obviously, their rationale was sounds as to why they would beat Norwich, believe it was along the lines of, 'well, they have played them in the last few years, so they won't care'.

Overlooking the financial rewards for the club, the win bonus the players would get for progressing, the professional pride they have, not wanting to be knocked out the cup by a lower division side and the fact that a lot of their squad would have never played there.

But who can second guess #Gaslogic.

Seeing as there are so many to list, we should break it down into categories for awards purposes:-

On pitch laughs

New stand mistakes

Hospitality hostility (toilet roll on a twig etc)

Squad makeup

toilet roll on twigs  OR TROTS  for short gets my vote

The Gascars...?

If you want to go down that route, we could have categories which would allow for multiple awards.

Something like

On the pitch fiasco (e.g. lack of goals)

Off the pitch embarrassment (e.g. ex manager ravings)

Owner/staff/admin faux Pas (e.g. normal fans)

Fans embarrassment (almost too many examples and may need sub categories)

:)

Announced on BBC Cambs this morning; "Peterborough United have confirmed their striker Jonson Clarke-Harris will be leaving as ghis contract has expired".

Will Rovers try signing him again or could City sign and then loan him to a League 1 team?

So ready the evening post article about their new state of the art screen 😂 it’s intended to be put on a platform over the south west stand and the platform will then act as the roof to the stand?!.

I get confused with the dozens of stands they have but isn’t that the corner bit between their new stand and awful hospitality stand (where sideshow bob was bored to tears a few years back) seems a weird place to put a screen surely

My favourite from last season was Hargeaves spunking off prematurely when they beat Pompey and Charlton ("whisper it quietly gasheads, something special is happening") then very shortly afterwards losing at home to Fleetwood and Burton in consecutive games.

Shortly followed by 7 games without a goal.

I had a look at their "Wishlist" thread last night and I am amazed at their apparent knowledge of young players in World football, either that or they have spend a lot of time on football manager.

They clearly think that they are one of the great draws in football.

Given their recent goal scoring exploits maybe 0:0 draws should be a more realistic way of thinking for them.

With multiple cases on the go and him continuing to use a KC which must be costing him a grand or two an hour, It's no wonder he's trying to crowdfund a few quid.

He'll be flogging one of his houses soon.

Pirate has a very hit or miss record but can't fault his knowledge of the lower leagues or even foreign leagues.

Josh Stokes was a name on his list as was Ben Krauhaus who has moved to Brentford.

But if you throw a bunch of names at the wall and some will stick.
