From the horse's mouth, so to speak.

Forget balloon festivals and the like, it is the cold, wet and a possible long walk that deters our Rovers friends, especially the teenagers, from filling out their ground.

Firstbus are looking to remove non essential bus services, which could impact on travel times to the Mem and additional costs for users.

I cannot guestimate the number of people who either will be unable or unwilling to take much longer and expensive journeys to get to watch Rovers, but if it is cold and wet and the only other option is by foot, or taxi, it may put off a lot of teenagers, who we need to grow the support of the club.

Poor teenagers.

When I was a teenager, I wellremember walking to Ashton Gate on Saturdays after school, rain or shine, down Jacobs Wells Hill, along Hotwells Road etc.

I can remember walking the length of the Portway on New Years Day to watch City v Swindon (82/83 ish..?)

Mind you, if Roverzzz were playing in the street outside, I'd draw the curtains.

So when they said before that "if they play in the streets we will watch from the pavements"', they forgot to add, "as long as it's outside my house" ? :)

I want Ipswich to wipe the floor with them. They need a wake up call as to what they are in the grand scheme of things. 5-0 will do nicely.

What is the record defeat in L1.  Ipswich taking that record against the Sags would do nicely.  It would be even better if Mark Ashton took the piss, Joey gave him a slap and found himself being charged with GBH.

I seem to remember Man City beating Huddersfield 10-1 in whatever League 1 was called at the time many years ago so 10-0 would do tonight.

Was going to mention that.

“If they play on the street we’ll watch them from the pavement…..unless”

1) There’s no comfy seats to sit on

2) Champions League on the telly

3) Bike ride somewhere in the Westcountry.

4) Tokyo World

5) Snow

6) Heavy rain

7) rain

8 drizzle

9) any clouds

10) Hot weather

11) Card only payments

12) no pornography at half time

13) ‘shitheads’ waiting outside

14) big Coronation Street storyline

15) full price tickets

16) cut price tickets

etc.

17) So massive that clubs sell out their home ends with people wanting to see the famous roverzzzz, so take away tickets off sale for fear of home fans infiltrating the away end thus preventing the legendary and famous roverzzzz from filling all corners of the ground they are visiting. ?‍♂️

Club saying tickets off sale now, game is all ticket and no pay on the day.

Pretty ridiculous that, our away support is decent but we’ll be nowhere near selling out.
Not like many will travel on the night ticketless either.

Maybe Ipswich have sold out or sold out in the cheaper areas and dont want their fans buying tickets in the away end (?)

Watched the first half, there was only one team in it. Ipswich were so superior yet amazingly the Sags clung on, hit the woodwork and almost notched again right on half time, which would have been totally undeserved.

Barton being the usual nause holding onto the ball on the touchline.

As much as I dislike Ipswich (entirely due to Ashton) I'd love to see them score a shitload more...

290 of them there tonight, fair play to all who went, one hell of a midweek trek. Can't imagine we'll hear many of then crowing about their away support tonight though...

I won't knock the 290 making that trip but that's not a following of a club with "huge away support"
