ralphindevon
Doncha wish your fielder was TKC........ GET IN! been saying it from day one, the best T20 squad we've ever had. Not at our best today but this team just too good
lenred
Beating Surrey with the Surrey love fest in the comms box with Butch,Tudor and Kumar was especially sweet. Get in!
RoystonFoote'snephew
Wow! Defending less than 150 twice is really something. How many times in the competition this year did we bowl sides out. Well done lads.

Get in! Even better beating Essex in the final The great thing with this Somerset team is that EVERY player does his job A REAL TEAM They dont just win games when one player comes off

The biggest difference in this side is ability to defend lower scores on slower pitches. Something never, ever, done before. Shame we didn’t face Hants and win in final as then we’d have avenged our two defeats in the group stage! Essex is more satisfying personally
northsomersetred
What a day!! Sat in the family stand with my son, outstanding effort to defend 2 scores like that. As others have said, we've had a team of better individuals, but not as a team, that team is superb, play for each other and the badge. Booked my tickets for next year already!! Funny moment of the day, Sams on 9, Essex 85-6 he hits a 6 right towards us, ball starts moving to my right towards a group of coppers stood about 6ft from us, one puts his hand up to catch it, mis-times it, dislocated finger
Redtrojan
Sat in front of Somerset changing rooms ,some disappointed looking faces as they walked back in after getting out for what most of them would have thought were too low scores. Batting looked very tricky yesterday,I like Edgbaston as a ground, but I’ve been to several finals day and it is usually low scoring affairs.Very different to the action at Taunton. Roy as he walked up the steps (Surrey’s changing rooms above Somerset’s) when it started raining before Somerset inning said “jokingly” to cricket official “and that’s why you should play it down south!”. Anyway amazingly finally won it again with two subpar totals.Brilliant bowling and fielding.Brilliant but nail biting day!
Lrrr
I think we can all agree the reason why Somerset broke records is because we did something no one had ever done before…. Have separate batting and bowling shirts
Lrrr
Somerset have 4/6 of the highest wickets taken in a season by a bowler in the blast, both Henry and Green make that top 6 after this season, Henry 2nd on the all time behind Alfonso Thomas. Lrrr
151/170 wickets, 151 is also a new record for most wickets

ralphindevon
Back to the calmness of 4 day cricket today. Already lost Lammonby as I type, it would be good if the top order could contribute, it feels a while since the very talented captain Tom got a few so hopefully that’ll be today. ralphindevon
I must admit we’ve had some very average signings over recent years but last winters recruiting was very good. TKC, Dickson, Henry and even a short term Sodhi have all been good signings, you could add Shoaib Bashir to that as he was discovered towards the end of last year.

The batting looks very strong this season and of course the overseas players have done a superb job.
ralphindevon
Just now, TomF said: It's what we've need for many a year. TKC was a very good coup. I know there are some 'issues' with his past at Yorkshire but we can hardly look at him in worse light than Craig for example. Yeah I must admit the bits you see of him in Behind the Wyvern (which has its final ever episode on YouTube right now) and in interviews he seems a real nice guy as does Craig. Maybe both better for a few years more life and cricket experience.
