KeepUpLino
Were we not made to feel that if RUFC signed a forward this deal would go ahead? If so surely a fee would have been agreed? Tell em to **** off and move in to the next one!!

ciderbeans
That would be the third player of that type we would have missed out on. First Britt assombalonga, the nouha dicko, now Agard. Not sure there are many others like them that are attainable......

hortonred
I really hope that we have not made the same mistake that we have in the past. That being putting all our efforts and focus in to signing Agard and when/if it falls through we have no other options.

The positives are we're not making the mistakes of the past and paying money we can't afford.
slartibartfast
Of course it is, we tried our hand, it got drawn out, Leeds have a pile of money, and are leeds and a huge club (despite the owner). We will move on, that is what it is like in L1 and being Brstol City. The club will not go to a bidding war, we have a value. That is football, we signed some great players in the summer, these last 3 are more difficult as the window is closing . At least we've been turned down for a "massive club" unlike being turned down for Eastliegh !
Bris Red
Dont really see the fuss over Agard to be honest, keep Baldock and we have more than enough going foward IMO..

Gillies Downs Leeds
My take on it is that Leeds have had a bid accepted but Agard not overly keen on going there.
Bristol Rob
With this number of teams interested. He'll go straight to the top of the wages table. I wouldn't bother.

Kid in the Riot
Shame as I heard Agard's preference was to move back down south but I guess with the money Leeds are likely to be offering we're likely to miss out. Looked ominous the longer things went on and Rothy were struggling to get a replacement in.
pigeon
Thing i'm thinking is... Agard surely doesn't want to step back down to league 1 unless he'll be starting? Who would you take out of last Saturdays squad to fit Agard in? I just don't see how it would work unless Sammy B left?

Marina's Rolls Royce
http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/latest-whites-news/leeds-united-whites-are-closing-in-on-agard-1-6786937 Latest from up north. The comment by Evans about Hockaday is funny. Yes- classic! Thing i'm thinking is... Agard surely doesn't want to step back down to league 1 unless he'll be starting? Who would you take out of last Saturdays squad to fit Agard in? I just don't see how it would work unless Sammy B left? Agard is history. The prospect of any striker fitting in is the same. Sam and Aaron will not start every one of our next 45 league games and SC has shown he will rotate the squad to suit the game. Personally, I think we've dilly dallied over Agard and just hope we are ready to go for someone else.
