Purple & Lime 3Rd Kit Confirmed!

Well to be honest yes I do. I would much rather have exciting signings and a team good enough for promotion, than playing in a strip which actually looks a bit vile if honest and to be honest I don't really care what alcoholic drinks the club supplies. Have always thought that alcohol and emotions lead to violence and if there was no alcohol on sale in football stadiums at all, it would reduce the violence and need for more money spent on policing and stewards.

Given the size of the 3 or four people around me at Ashton Gate (they could do with 2 seats let alone one !), If they go out and buy a purple kit, I will feel like I'm trapped between a Barney the dinosaur convention.

All for difference, and understand why some fans like the Purple & Green kits, but personally not my taste and I personally would be a lot more excited by the signing of a decent player, than a kit.

I'm personally not really taken by the new rectro kits and the material is okay, but still feel our most comfy and best kits were when Puma made them, the Red home and the White away Puma kits were nice kits, comfy and looked good. Would personally rather those kits than the ones for this season. Don't find this season's home kit comfy to wear at all, and although bought one I can't see it coming out much for anything bar matches.

Oh wow, you are being serious. I wasn't.

I'm not gonna read this, just FYI.

Good stuff, now means I won't be buying 3 replica shirts instead of not buying 2...think of the money I am saving.

In all seriousness, I though it was a dire kit 20 years ago, and I think it is a dire kit today.

Agree with that.

I don't usually buy shirts but even if I wanted to, I wouldn't buy any of them anyway. They just don't look good to me particularly the white one..

I know the Puma deal ended yonks ago, shame we didn't stay with them.

Good work, although the article on bcfc.co.uk isn't 100% accurate...

"City actually had two purple and lime strips during the early 90s, but not since 1994 have they sported those colours in a competitive match."

I'm certain Tinnion wore the famous "purple and lime" colours (see below) when he lopped the Stoke keeper from almost the halfway line in the 85min to secure a 1-1 draw at the Britannia in 1999. It was our 3rd kit that season.

Bit harsh on our female supporters, Tom?

This is a test run for next season I reckon. If the third kit flies out the shop in record time then it'll be our away colours next season...

Reckon if it sells well they might even do them this year.

Been some years since I posted on here. Had to get a new username it's been that long. Anyway anyone know if they will be doing telephone orders as I can't get there tomorrow and as there s little info on numbers available don't fancy risking missing the boat.

As far I was told earlier yes. I live in Newark and can't get there tomorrow.
