VILLA PLANNING CUTS

Aston Villa are planning to cut several players from their first-team squad before the transfer window closes.

Manager Tim Sherwood feels he needs to improve the balance of his squad, and the Birmingham Mail has reported that players such asPhilippe Senderos, Charles N'Zogbia and Kieran Richardson could leave before the September 1 deadline.

"There are still some players here who know they can find other clubs," said Sherwood.
