Selred
We played one up top against Braga with Freeman and Reid behind Wilbs. May do that again with Lingard behind Kodjia? Didn't Kodjia used to be a lone striker for his last team?

BRISTOL86
If your lingards agent, you'd def tell the press if this deal was happening just in case it opened the door to a bigger club unaware he was available. What's the agent got to lose? That's my main worry. Though normally isn't someone from the BP quick to send out a "there's absolutely no truth in the story...." tweet when this sort of stuff gets bandied around? samo II
IF this is true, would be a hell of a signing. Very, very talented player, and with decent experience at this level for someone so young. Surprised though, as his well thought of where he's played before, which is at club is expect could compete with or beat us in spendif power; perhaps this is the benefit of waiting, as it means the guy can look at us and realistically expect to play a lot, whole others teams are brimming with players? Either way; hope it is happening - would be a pretty amazing replacement for Wade.

P'head Red
I really do hate agents, really trying to not get my hopes up, but the thought of him and freeman in behind Kodjia?! that would be insane
NVMal
I can only see this being true if Freeman is going. You wouldn't want arguably your two best players fighting for the same position in the team.

formerly known as ivan
If true then where would he fit in? Always thought he was an attacking midfielder who played the same position as freeman? Change in tactics maybe? This could be very exciting! Just reading on Twitter and nearly every UTD fan on there don't want him to leave and want him to be given a chance in the first team.

Phileas Fogg
Find it a bit strange people are puzzled why we'd want such a player when we've already got Freeman.. Of course if this opportunity has arisen we'd take it! Besides, if Mark Little isn't ready yet.. Who's to say we aren't thinking of other formations? Man Utd have too many attacking midfielders and holding midfielders, Lingard has been pushed back into reserves following their acquisitions and if they sell Angel De Maria they will almost certainly replace and spend that money

samo II
To be fair; worrying about where he'll play isn't that biggest bother to me - IF we signed him, he'd be one of just five (six if you count Wagstaff) central midfielders in our squad, out of which three tend to start, so he'd get opportunities, be that in for Pack or Freeman (or up top, as someone pointed out; has played there before). Yes; the reported fee would be a LOT to pay for a potential 'squad' player, but rather one quality option like him in, and possibly pushing the others for a first eleven place than several others who aren't as good. Seems a bit out of the blue this one, but then wasn't the move for Kodjia? And as much as he might want it; no way Lingard is breaking past the midfielders Man United now have anytime soon. Worried about bringing in talent because of Luke Freeman. Luke Freeman is talented. Lingard is talented. If it happened they'd end up on the pitch together. It's a bit like saying Manchester City shouldn't have bought Sterling(price aside) because they have Nasri and Navas. Let them fight for a spot and if they're both too good you change things up a bit. It's a good problem to have

The Gasbuster
as in. On the gossip page or an actual report on it ? Something tells Me even if we are properly linked with this player , it could just be his agent trying to get other teams interested. Good point; but surely they would pick one of the "top teams" in the Championship if that were the case, who would make it higher profile ? (Leeds, Derby, Boro, Wolves)
