I predict it'll be announced early next week, with a first website interview done from La Manga training base.

Yep announce HOD with COD next week then they can meet up with KOD and ROD

If he's part of the contingent travelling to Spain then surely we'd announce it first.

Then again with our media pros anything is possible!

Knowing us we'd sign him then forget to buy him a ticket for the plane to Spain

Good teams are always strong through the middle. Good goalkeeper, central defenders, central midfielders, centre forward. Having a strong defence & midfield puts pressure on the opposition as they find it difficult to score. They then have to push forward more and the team loses shape.

So in short, good teams have good players . . . .

Obviously, but the most important of those is the defenders.

It's not that simple. In an ideal world, good teams have players who are technically good and have more ability than the opposition. But teams that have players with ability don't necessarily perform well. On the other hand, teams with a a few good players and the rest just average can achieve a lot.

Then there is the manager and coaches! A poor manger / coach can ruin a potentially good team by using tactics and formations that don't suit the players. Another major problem is managing and motivating players who earn mega bucks. Some managers have good coaching skills but they can't manage

In the professional game, chairmen also also affect the team by putting in place a club structure whereby the person who has final say on signing players is not the manager.

If it was as simple as just having good players anyone could manage Man Utd, Man City etc and be successful.

I'm afraid I'm going to agree with Sir Alex Ferguson on this one, rather than yourself. no offence . . . .

Not entirely convinced personally. With the deal that is. Think there may be a few hitches that we'll overcome.

The interesting thing for me is that he has followed us, the women's team and Bristol Sport on Twitter. Pretty random teams to follow for a Juventus player to do otherwise!

Not up on employment law. But what is the work permit situation signing someone from Iceland?

Fine as long as you've never worked in Asda, Sainsbury's or Tesco.

Does seem strange the players himself confirmed the deal to someone which would suggest fee, wages paperwork etc... would have all been dealt with.

Has he though? Wasn't it someone / something to do with Icelandic FA as opposed to the player.....
