What was more entertaining was the programs being thrown onto the pitch from the EE.. sure some City fan threw one with some purpose at one of the Cardiff players and was the escorted out of the ground through the Cardiff fans... strange but strangely entertaining for 1 minute, took mind off the pasting we were taking albeit briefly

We'd been given all those sheets of paper with details of the "exciting plans for Ashton Vale" hadn't we?

They made excellent paper aeroplanes! :laughcont:

If the best we have to look forward to is a win with zero entertainment value they can do it in front of an empty stadium as far as I am concerned. I pay to be entertained and that did not happen today and in fact has not happened for a long time, irrespective of results.

If your looking to be entertained maybe the theatre would be more your thing?

Very rarely in football are you guaranteed entertainment.

I'd quite happily take 46 scrappy 1 nil wins.

You expect to be entertained after 8 losses and a draw ?

Best of luck with that one.

The best I hoped for was a win - which we got.

I hoped for tactical improvement and a more cohesive performance. It was an utter shambles.

Leaving results to one side, LJs knowledge of football is being laid bare.

Keep perspective . For sure results recently are totally unacceptable . But due to early season form , we are not in the bottom ( 3) .  BCFC one win in (10) under Zola , villa battered at Brentford and lost today at Forest . Villa have premier league manager of quality .

I am not sure LJ is going to get through this but in perspective , is there a better alternative right now ? Burton beat an in form Wolves today . This division is very uncertain  .

It certainly tells me something.

Many people have personal vendettas against LJ and they wanted us to lose today because they wanted him to be sacked.

Cretins, absolute cretins. 4 points from two tough games is excellent.

I'm not sure this is the case to be honest. I have absolutely nothing against LJ (which I think is the general opinion of the majority). However, like most, I still don't have faith in him due to seeing no progress, still.

I think it's short sighted to not be annoyed. 3 points are great, obviously, but there has been no faith given after today's game. I felt happier than a loss but I'm still very far from happy (which shows how bad we are doing).

He has still done nothing for me to believe he can take us forward, or even keep us up. So I don't think anyone is in the wrong for still being unhappy as our form is horrible & one game can't change that.

You would probably do that having most of the stadium to yourself.

You honestly believe these cretins who were at the game didn't cheer when we scored?

I'm seriously wondering how many games these "worst game I've ever been at" people have seen. You may want LJ out, I'm by far means unconvinced after the last 3 months.. but we did win, we did put them under a fair bit of pressure after the subs ane there were some positives (return of Cotterill, Milan playing well, Matty looking the part) Don't come on here cosyer pissed off Johnson held on to his job by saying the worst game ever, because frankly that sounds a bit silly.

You missed out the rest which put it into context.

Leave it there though, can't be arsed.

There is no context so far as I am concerned.

I expect to be entertained.

Whether we have lost the previous 8 or won the previous 8 is not relevant to me.

Happy with the three points but please call it a day LJ. Awful.

Fans turning on him for the first time at the match, the majority are speaking.

Third win in 18. A pittiful performance against a side who were never here to

I hope to God you're good at your job and you're never judged like you are judging.

So sick of the abuse towards LJ - you want him to walk? Maybe he will, but for now be grateful for the 3 points. The person you want as replacement may not have got us 3 points today. LJ did, by hook or by crook.

I for one am happy where we are tonight as opposed to this morning.

I hope you nevery experience the vitriol pepole are exclaiming.

Do it then - do something else.

what cheek! Today was my 19th match this season, excluding pre-season, I'm fully committed, have been for decades and have the scars to show for it..but there's been a limit in the past. If anyone thinks that playing football as we played today represents an attractive prospect for the uncommitted fan they're living in a fantasy world.

What do you want an entertaining side or a winning side?

I agree with all, today was not much good but one way or another, by hook or by crook- be it chance or dumb luck, we found a way to win. Sheffield Wed display was spirited I thought.

Is an interesting question though- entertainment or winning football? Someone should do a poll on it.

What abuse.

He's performing terribly in his job. God knows if he should go or not. If we lose the next 4 what then? On the evidence of the last 2 months and today, where on earth does this mythical 4 points come from?

Our choices at the moment are lose or win ugly.

Not for me thanks.

Worst game ever?

You clearly didn't experience some of the utter sh*te that was served up in the early 1980s, or one game against the sags where the report said 'if this was in your garden you'd have closed the curtains".

1-0 win over Rotherham, LUXURY.

Well said Cider Craig . We all are better managers than those in place .of course ! What else ?

Rotherham a classic club without a strategy . Got Neil W last year who kept them up but when he left , they had no plan for the future . Great ! We have a plan  and yes it's tough but at least we have an owner with commitment , money and support .

I've seen worse, sure you have too. Each to their own but it's about short term results atm, that's the best we can hope for at this time I think.

Oh no, this was the worst game of football in history and the luckiest ever win by a team (if you want LJ out, that is)

Can you only have one OR the other?

Haven't seen a worse game of football for years, and if that's the best we can hope for, it is quite depressing.

The only highlight for me was the Rotherham lad that came on for the one that went off injured. That boy can play and he was as determined as ****.

Say what you like but what we witnessed today wasn't Championship standard. Yes, we won and that was the most important thing. But that level of performance, if it is continued, will only result in one outcome. Let's see if Johnson, who I accept won't get sacked anytime soon, has the nous to improve the performances to the level we need to get us the points we will need. Unfortunately he has had plenty of time to turn this round and still remains unconvincing to many!! But we'll see.

Yeah, me included  . but people don't have to go stupid in their comments just because he didn't get the sack tonight by not winning

Jon Taylor? I was convinced he would score and the gas would have loved the namesake doing one on us.
