It certainly tells me something.

Many people have personal vendettas against LJ and they wanted us to lose today because they wanted him to be sacked.

Cretins, absolute cretins. 4 points from two tough games is excellent.

Clown? Thanks for the personal insult.

Luckily for you I would never stoop to that level. Attack the post not the poster and all that.

What I have found sad is over this transfer window and the last two games LJ has shown he does have a clue, yet you choose to ignore that.

I think it's you that doesn't have a clue, not LJ.

by the way @Up The City!

Forgot to say earlier

When you label posters 'Cretins' don't get all tearful and hurt when someone calls you a Clown  eh

If you prefer to be labelled a 'Cretin' rather than a 'Clown' I'd be surprised,

but then again I might not

Oh come off of it. You can't compare one team to another, far to many variables and differences.

I'm delusional because I'm happy we have won today, because we are undefeated in two games?

I somewhat don't think I'm the delusional one here.

You cant compare one team to another? Too many variables? Tbf we have spent considerably more than those clubs mentioned.

How we won matters not a jot . We won . ( end ) . Manner of win predicts nothing for forthcoming away games against top half teams . 4 points out of 6 agreed the minimum required but a lot of teams higher up would not have cricket scored against an energetic opposition like Rotherham. Matty Taylor looked fitter than some of our players and certainly sharper . Lee J " start the Derby game with the team who finished the game today . " this is a league where nothing is for sure . Look around you . Zola at BCFC 1 win in 10 , Allardyce imploding at CP . I know it ain't good but small steps . Callers to Radio Bristol please get real . This is a war to survive  and margins are wafer thin

finally respect to the 200 fans from Rotherham . True foundations of the game .

After Tuesday's decent enough draw yeah, I was expecting a more entertaining game than what we saw this afternoon.

As the op said today was one of the worst performances I've seen from City in ages.

But......a win is a win.....

Worst performances? Oh please come off it. Your just thinking about the hear and the now. Ive seen many games in the past where er have been dead and buried even before half time.

What delighted about that dull performance. Wow?

That we got 3 points. That there was some decent individual performances.

Anyone that has a vendetta against a person and would rather we lost to strengthen their vendetta is a cretin. That's a undeniabe fact.

Calling someone a clown for being happy we won a game? I've not even got the words to describe how pathetic that is.

You do realise a year ago most of these players didn't even know each other right?

Today they looked like they had only met each other for the first time 10 minutes before the match. I was going to say that it was like watching a Sunday pub team who had spent all night in the pub, but then I realised I would be insulting Bristol's pub team players

Don't really know where to start.

Expected to not have to scrape a 1-0 against a horrendous team.

Expected to not have to worry about Rotherham, Blackburn and Burton after spending millions upon millions in 6 months.

Expected to not have to time waste from the 75th minute at 1-0 at home to a team that hasn't scored in 3

Expected to not have to see a panic treble substitution in the 62nd minute to play long ball.

I could go on

I think you are a bit confused...

You expected free flowing football and a 4-0 win after our recent run?

The team that hasn't scored in 3...still hasn't scored so what ever we did and however we did it worked?

Subs...Did they not directly lead to us scoring a goal? The goal that won us the game?

Disappointed is an understatement as to where we find ourselves but we have taken a small step (very small maybe) in the right direction and at this point in time I will take that.

I wouldn't say what we did 'worked'. We were ******* awful. I didn't expect free flowing, but I think we all expected a bit more confidence in ourselves after Tuesday, especially in another home game in front of our biggest crowd this season.

The subs were needed because the initial plan 'a' was a very bad one. This underlines that we still don't know our best team or formation and it's February. That first half was one of the most boring and disjointed I'm sure most of us have seen in a long time. We've played 4 different goalkeepers in league games ffs. That in itself tells a story.

We need to really sit up and recognise that we are right in the thick of it now. If today is to be used as a benchmark or a 'result over performance' outlook then we'll be in L1 next year.

Today it looked like two already relegated teams playing eachother. No, perhaps that have been a more entertaining match as both were looking like they were playing with the handbrake on, scared of losing. Just shows the level of pressure the manager and players are under, to me it looked like both managers were thinking if I lose today I'm gone.

But win we did , an ugly win but it was a win. Yes we played much better agsinst Sheffield Weds, but maybe we weren't really expected to win that game, a draw was more realistic, today's game was much more win or bust. Hence the expectation leading to pressure.

I don't know where are next points will come from looking at our away games, but anything is possible. Forest have just beaten Villa for example. If we are doing the City of old and winning ugly, then maybe will will also do the city of old and unexpectedly beat teams placed much higher than ourselves.

oh, I know people are name calling to emphasise their points, but calling someone a clown or a cretin doesn't really add much weight, probably does the opposite. Yes I know I called Wally a name on another thread yesterday (before someone finds it and throws it back at me) But come on, he is a Gashead so it goes with the territory, let's at least be civil to eachother please.

Anyone who thinks that was the worst game ever clearly hasn't watched a lot of football.

I gather some twonk on R Bris said it was the worst first half of football he had ever seen in years of watching city.

He can't have been at Ashton Gate last season when we walked in 4 down against Fulham.

Today I left the ground for the first time in ages feeling happy. When that final whistle went it felt like we had won a cup final..

Really? You clearly weren't at Wembley in 1986 then...

When the final whistle went today I trudged out of the ground wondering how we could play so badly against the worst team in this division and how we can continue with a head coach who hasn't got a clue...I certainly didn't feel like we had 'won a cup final'...

Funny you should Mention that game. Although 0-4 down at H/T time in that game we were actually ******* worse today its just that the opposition was that bloody bad we walked in 0-0.... although in fairness they should have been 1-0 up!!

Fulham played a decent half and were utterly clinical.

We were playing a very poor team today.

3 points . Nothing else matters . If we'd been mid table now with relatively nothing to play for , none of this misguided negative bile would have surfaced . There was a guy on R Bristol who always gets on and rarely goes to a game who thinks he is Alex Ferguson . Try being a manger pal and see how your stress tolerance copes . In the meantime , get behind the team .

No, we looked totally and utterly outclassed by Fulham in that first back in 2015. We didn't look outclassed today, but both teams looked poor. We had more possession, more shots (on target and off) and better chances. We just weren't clicking right. Midfield looked poor - Pack seemed unable to spot a forward pass in the first half and Hegeler had his poorest game for us. Tomlin was particularly below par: a few sublimely weighted passes but gave away possession more often than he retained it. When you rely on Tomlin as your creative playmaker and he's having a poor game, then you're going to get few chances on goal.

It's a bit like the reliance SOD put on JET. If JET had a bad game, we lost, we had no other creative spark.

Can't see what? What I can see is we matched and could have beat a top 6 side and then beat a side who was desperate to beat us.

This was a 6 pointer,  it was never gonna be a 3 nil game. These sort of games are always tight.

How many times do you see a top premiership game and it ends 1 nil? All the bloody time.

Could have, should have, £absolute rubbish. Worse 2 teams  I've ever seen at this level

Worst game ever? God no. I remember as a 15 year old we were due to play in Bridgend. Lucky us! We arrived in driving rain and freezing cold, to be informed that our match referee had buggered off to watch Cardiff. Never mind. When one of the other matches had finished, the referee of that game would referee ours...but we were in for a long wait. Naturally, we sought alternative entertainment. I went off for a packet of smokes and when I came back  one of my fellow Bristolians found his way into the Sports Hall, and came back with a Javelin.... and started to re enact a scene from Zulu. At the finish of a surprisingly good performance, he threw the javelin at the wall opposite. To our surprise, we found the wall was merely a Plasterboard partition....to the Welsh lads changing rooms....and yes it went straight through.

Two full teams were brawling before we even kicked off... and when we kicked off.... shortly afterwards...it all kicked off again. After waiting the lions share of 2 hours for a game, our match was abandoned after 25 minutes...

In terms of bad games and bad days out...this un took a lot of beating

Oh

it does, oh IMON it does - signs of cohesive unit coming together ? No IMO

Any sign of a settled selection ? No IMO

Are these good signs going into four very tough away games ? No IMO

Do you think that having scraped three points against an awful side we are suddenly morph into a good side at Derby ?

If we'd been mid table now with relatively nothing to play for , none of this misguided negative bile would have surfaced

No ***** Sherlock - We can only dream

As for 'misguided negative bile' - I take it that's YOUR OPINION is it ?

I think you have rose-coloured specs, Keepy. I felt like killing myself at half-time in that game!

Strangely enough, the other one that came to mind - the 0-6 against Cardiff - WAS curiously entertaining. We were so bad as to be funny and I think most of us were actually laughing at our ineptness. ("we want 7" etc)

I guess the really frustrating thing at a game like today's, is that you know, somewhere, behind all the underachieving, there's a good side struggling to get out.

What was more entertaining was the programs being thrown onto the pitch from the EE.. sure some City fan threw one with some purpose at one of the Cardiff players and was the escorted out of the ground through the Cardiff fans... strange but strangely entertaining for 1 minute, took mind off the pasting we were taking albeit briefly

Were you there ?

Crowd turned ?

A few (not a lot) booed at half time - it was, tbf, absolutely crap.

Then they didn't like Tammy being subbed - but that turned out to be the right call.

In the circumstances, any win will do.

And we won.

If the best we have to look forward to is a win with zero entertainment value they can do it in front of an empty stadium as far as I am concerned. I pay to be entertained and that did not happen today and in fact has not happened for a long time, irrespective of results.
