The thing that sprung to mind when reading this would get this topic locked and me barred but I don't think it'll take you lot long to realise what I'd like to ask about it.

Oh to be a fly in the room when that kid grows up and asks why daddy's man utd career ended so quickly.

It’s not ended yet ?

Although the charges were dropped it is interesting, and welcome to many, that Manchester United have delayed an announcement on Mason Greenwood unitl they have consulted the Manchester United Women's players.

It's something I suppose, but with the widely viewed video evidence, you would like to think the powers that be could make their own decision.

Sounds like they are paving the way for a return to me....

Agreed.

Contrary to media speculation, that decision has not yet been made and is currently the subject of intensive internal deliberation. Responsibility ultimately rests with the Chief Executive Officer.

Once made, the decision will be communicated and explained to the club’s internal and external stakeholders.

"The Chief Executive Officer wants him to leave but the Shareholders don't want the share price to dip whilst we negotiate the sale of the Club. There's therefore intense deliberation as to what decision ultimately delivers the smallest impact on the owner's investment.

When we know what we think we should do, and have decided how to word it so it sounds like we're nice, we'll tell everyone, including the NYSE."

Why do they think that the share price would dip if they sacked him/tore up his contract, surely he isn't seen as one of their more attractive assets as far as buyers are concerned?

Manure have dragged this out, despite people in charge earning fortunes, so they should be taking responsibility to make  decisions.....instead of constantly prevaricating.  What a disgrace.  The little S^^T deserves to be kicked out of his profession until he is too old to even kick a football. IMO

If it was a lesser player he would be already out of the club.

He is a lesser player. He's the worst one there imo. Maybe not on the pitch, but off it, but my god, what we've all seen and heard, he can rot in the lowest of all leagues. Sadly he's been picking up £70k a week or whatever all this time, so no matter what happens, he's made for life and probably doesn't give a shit what Man Utd do.

Because it was late last night when I wrote that. I had it as "stay", re read it, and changed it. I mean stay. Thanks.

Seems to me, they were going to re-introduce him into the squad - but then got a load of stick, when rumours got out.

He should be gone. But sums up man utd as a club.

That's how I'm reading it too. I also thought them 'consulting' with their womens team players is passing the buck of the decision a bit - if he stayed then they can point to them when the inevitable uproar happens.

I still think they'll keep him and loan him out somewhere abroad. If so, I hope his girlfriend stays home
