Downsy, BBC Radio, BBC news website, The Guardian, Football commentators/pundits, Generic commercial-radio-sounding-people in adverts and announcements (usually quite high pitched voices, usually female, that sound bland and basically annoying) “due to the weather conditions please take extra care when walking around the station” 🤬.

Bit too early to go into it with the BC and AD year counting thing, but from first look it seems that "christ" was not born on Christmas Day in the year 0 as there wasnt a year nought.

Early calender seems to have come from Romans? but where did the years come from🤔 early birthdays must have been sh1te to work out/count

It followed Saturnalia, a festival where people feasted and exchanged gifts. The church in Rome began celebrating Christmas on December 25 in the 4th century during the reign of Constantine, the first Christian emperor, possibly to weaken pagan traditions.

Early celebrations of Christmas are thought to have derived from Roman and other European festivals that marked the end of the harvest, and the winter solstice.

Scholers have worked out that Christ was born early to mid April.

It’s still an amazing coincidence that Jesus was born on Christmas Day . What are the chances ?

Probably wasn't. Shepherds would only be "watching their flocks by night" to protect them from predators during lambing, which in ancient Judea would include wolves as well as vultures, owls, foxes, jackals and crows.  Lambs were much more likely to be born in early Spring or very late Winter back then.

One other thing is Herod died in 4BC, so the year is incorrect as well.

Controversial, I know  but...

Oasis / Gallaghers

Decidedly average band, one trick ponies, worst and most hackneyed guitar playing/solos in rock history, made a mint from selling old rope.

Obnoxious, stroppy, cocky northern know it alls known for slagging off bands who are far more talented than thermselves, and therefore

total *******.

All about opinions, and this is mine.

The nativity scene is also a fable.  By the time the Magi (wise men) would have reached "Christ" he would have been almost 2!

Aye, the timeline is all to cock. The census that made Joseph and Mary travel from Bethlehem to Nazareth took place in 6AD.
