CBs tend to fetch higher fees imo than holding midfielders. Also, I like versatility but I hope we have a position in mind. We have seen it with Vyner I think. His versatility stagnated his growth a bit imo. He started off at rb for us in some games early on. Plymouth was stellar at CB. Rotherham back to RB. Then a year pretty much in midfield. Then right of a 3 and now settling in a pair. I mean you can argue all that has made him better too but I do think consistency in one spot has helped him an awful lot this season. So I keep that in mind with versatile players. His footedness shouldn’t necessarily be seen as a sign about the status of another player.
