How much would Weston have got for this transfer roughly or would it have been on a free?

Would’ve been a fee I’d have thought but no idea really. Could’ve had a clause that meant he could go to a club in a higher division for free/a more favourable fee. At a guess would say £5-10k transfer fee maybe.

after mark cooper said some pretty derogatory things about Taunton, their finances, and their players in the pre match interview with radio Bristol on Boxing Day…

I see Weymouth signing a player from Yeovil as well today (Malachi Linton), previously on loan to Taunton

Went to watch Roman Glass v Worcester City on Wednesday night.

Fixture was very well supported by the Worcester City fans, big fanbase for the level. Think they average about 400-500 at home. Must’ve had about 80-100 or so there.

Roman Glass going well still though, in 4th currently, so will be hoping they get in the play offs.

Be going to Clevedon Town v St Blazey tomorrow if it stays on.

Ex-City academy full back James Taylor has joined Yate, always impressed when playing for City U23s, got to be a good signing and also better for him not travelling to Truro all the time!

Also signed two Taunton lads as the exodus from there gathers pace.

Ta for the info, hadn’t realised he was playing for Truro.

He’s a strange one for me, never shone, never played badly…a steady Eddie for me.  Although I thought he had his best games for us in the Coventry PDL final when he swapped positions with Wood, and the pre-season game he played for the first team.  Maybe he rose to the occasion?

I see a Torquay player has gone on loan to Livingstone.

Livvy must have a fine scouting network to spot this player and get him on loan. Who's paying his travel fee, or given the distance, will he Walk 500 miles?

I hadn't realised Worcester have fallen so far down the pyramid, fair play to a core support sticking with them

One of the Taunton players is Nick McCootie , a big powerful striker, just what Yate need as they are so lightweight up front. The other from Taunton is Joe Guest.

Taunton must be in trouble if there players are jumping shit to go to Yate

although if they are Bristol based etc this time of year does take its toll

Were they regular starters or squad players?

Steady Eddie is quite a good description but I do feel he always gave it everything. I think, but am not sure, that he was full-time at Truro but after an injury has failed to get regular game time. Really should be shining at this level though.

Other City-related news is that Callum Hutton has returned after his Yate loan spell. Did well and tried really hard, only negative was a number of missed chances.

Yep, whole-hearted.  Probably someone without the talent of others so worked hard to be as solid as he could.
